Programme of Walks

Short informal walks in the company of National Nature Reserve staff or volunteers. Dates shown are inclusive. Please no dogs. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Under 5’s free. Winter/Spring 2008

An Introduction to the Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve - Saturday 19th January     

• A Nature Reserve presentation by a member of the Reserve Team, introducing the Reserve, its habitats and the management prescriptions in place. Followed by a guided walk exploring some of the habitats. Tea and coffee on arrival. Meet outside Reserve Office at 10am, bring packed lunch.
• £5 adults, £3 children (U 12’s). Booking essential.                                 

Ancient Woodland Walk - Saturday 16th February

• A guided walk hosted by a member of the Reserve Team through Slapton Wood. Meet at 10am outside the Reserve Office. 
• £5 adults, £3 children. Booking essential.

Coast Walk - Saturday 29th March

• A walk along the coast from Start Bay to Torcross. Hosted by FSC staff from the National Nature Reserve and Academic teams. Meet at 10am outside the Reserve Office, bring packed lunch.
• £5 adults, £3 children. Booking essential.

Dawn Chorus - Saturday 26th April

• A guided walk hosted by a member of the Reserve Team around Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve. Meet at the Reserve Office 6.00am, breakfast at the field centre on return.
• £10 adults, £5children. Booking essential.    

Summer Programme 2008

Choose from an exciting range of weekly events staged from mid-June to September including Badgers and Bats evenings, family fun with our mini-beast adventures, and guided walks within the sanctuary areas of the NNR. (Full programme to be confirmed at a later date).
