Volunteer Minibus Drivers

Why we want you

We provide informative and enjoyable opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to explore, be inspired by, and understand the natural environment.  The role is to drive our skilled tutors and visiting groups to fieldwork sites aroundSouth Devon.

You will be helping the Field Studies Council (FSC), a pioneering educational charity committed to bringing environmental understanding to all. You will visit some breath taking scenery inSouth Devonand accompany very enthusiastic tutors with superb local knowledge.  You can also enjoy tea, homemade cakes and lunches provided by our fantastic kitchen team.

 

The skills you need

We are looking for someone who is able to relate to students and visiting tutors in a professional and friendly manner.  You will be confident in driving around the roads ofSouth Devon, like driving and have some experience of driving larger vehicles.  You will be willing to undertake a minibus test and hold a D1 entitlement on your driving license.  This is an important role in the work of the Field Centre and we need to be able to trust our volunteers to provide a timely and reliable service.

 

Commitment

All year round including weekends.  Days are flexible depending on your availability.  Day lengths vary depending on location.
